First of all, you go in there thinking that this is for a job, not a staffing agency! Lol! I asked them several times over the phone if they were a staffing agency and they said no. I was set up with an interview, I went in and BAM! It's a temp agency! At that point I just went with it anyway because I needed a job fast. The one I went to is on Valencia Blvd in Sherman Oaks CA. Most of the girls in there are pretty snotty. I've experienced and heard nothing but bad from this company. Stay away! ps I think that it's funny because a couple reviews on here are CLEARLY ApplOne reps trying to pass it off as one of us! Don't be duped, this company is rotten.
Stay as far away as possible! Lol! They claim that they "act as your agent" but this is false. They are like any other temp/staffing agency out there and are only out for the money. I've seen a lot of people that come here through them and they get burned and lied to by both this company and AppleOne. It's not worth it, people.
My experience was that the recruiter I worked with was very up front. She took time to explain the current market conditions not only in my industry but gave me insight to conditions in others as well. She was honest in detailing how many people are currently seeking employment and advised of the delay. I'm a senior-level management candidate and was impressed with the level of professionalism and experience of the recruiter I worked with. She coached me on pointers for my resume to ensure I stood out from any other applicant going for the same position. Although AppleOne has not secured employment for me, I must admit, it's also been difficult searching on my own as well. I can't fault them for the slowness in hiring decisions but am continuing to keep the communication open with my recruiter. I feel we are working together as a true partnership and belive me, I'm not "that guy" that has his feet up on the coffee table in front of my flatscreen while I expect her to do all the work.
Understand that there will definitely be some delays in receiving a result. I've learned that just because my recruiter doesn't return every call, it's not because she doesn't want to but because she's working hard to get my name and resume in front of her clients. Be patient and make certain you are doing your part - not just calling in daily which would be a waste of time. Set an agreed upon contact schedule and go from there.
I agree with some of the reviewers. This company is LOUSY about reaching out to their temporary employees with job assignments. I have better luck with other agencies.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH APPLEONE!!!
I worked at a position for this company. When that seasonal position ended I kept calling and calling to be placed again. I heard from someone 8 months later when that position was available again. Still nothing about any other positions despite the fact that I am well qualified. That was almost a year ago.
Do not use this agency unless you are able to be in their faces all the time.
Because they have always found top quality companies to send me to and work hard to negotiate fair wages for me every time.
As long as you are honest with them about your skill level they will be able to place you in a job that fits.
This company has had my resume and everytime I inquire about a position that I qualified for they would not return my calls.
Please make sure that you are in these people's faces or they will not place you!
They're Great, helpful, fast and more greatness!!
Be yourself and very straight forward. The senior account executives are there to help you.
This company called me in for an interview and testing, of which I did do and they turned around and lost my file claiming I never turned in proper identification.
Don't waste your time.
I found a listing on a jobsearch website for this company that I qualify for and they have not contacted me to consider this position within there own company.
